Each semester, CUPAL presents at least one event to showcase the work of our member groups.

 

CUPAL Presents: Kickoff takes place in the first weeks of the Fall semester. Representatives from all of our member groups attend and share their plans for the coming year. Kickoff is a great place to learn about our groups and find opportunities within the performing arts community. All are welcome, and we especially encourage incoming students to attend.

CUPAL Presents: ColorFest takes place in mid-October and is designed as a fun bonding experience for the performing arts community. Student groups participate as teams in an indoor field day with numerous games and activities. The group that finishes with the most points is presented with the CUPAL Legacy Robe, which they can adorn with a patch of their own design.

 

CUPAL Presents: Showcase takes place in mid-to-late February and highlights works-in-progress for the Spring semester and completed productions from the Fall. Showcase is a semi-formal event colloquially referred to as “Prom.” The event includes a catered buffet and is staffed by a photographer. Member groups apply and are selected to perform, and CUPAL awards the Joe Klein Memorial Award to a distinguished alumnus nominated by members of the community.
